In keeping with the Cámara de Comercio de Bogotá’s (CCB) objective of promoting business, helping entrepreneurial dreams come to fruition and setting up initiatives for the region’s business people, the CCB has acquired the rights for Bogota Fashion Week (BFW) and will, from April 25 to 27, host its first version of the event. Taking place in its building in Salitre, the aim is to convert the BFW into Colombia’s most important international fashion market, promote the sector’s competitiveness and create links and contacts between national and international buyers and designers.
The CCB has identified three clusters of the fashion industry for the festival: clothing garments; leather and footwear; and jewelry. The 2017 version of BFW will involve 35 up-and-coming and established designers, including the likes of Bettina Spitz, Lina Cantillo, Isabel Henao, Bendita Seas, Faride Ramos and Juan Pablo Socarrás.
The country’s fashion industry will come to life at this stylish event, which will include a trade fair and business networking opportunities, academic forums, 16 catwalk shows, showrooms, pop-up stores, jewelry launches and a number of other activities.
