Promoting the use of culture as a fundamental tool for raising awareness about issues and connecting society, the third version of IndieBo will take place from July 13 to 23. The independent cinema festival, founded by Paola Turbay, Alejandro Estrada and Juan Carvajal, appropriates 13 of Bogotá’s 20 districts over 10 days, with screenings in cinemas, parks and other unconventional spaces. Connecting the general public with the most advanced innovations and virtual reality experiences, the festival’s films aim to present original narratives with authentic voices and dazzling performances which entice viewers and activate our emotions.
This year’s selection includes a number of categories, such as IndieKids, a specially designed space for children to enjoy animated movies. Ventanas Abiertas focuses on how great directors convert real, local stories into universal offerings. There is also the Medianoche section, which sees horror movies take over the night, and Lente Lateral, which shares original and risky ideas aiming to change the public’s perspective.
Lure Media will make an appearance on the festival stage this year, sharing our luxury guide, Lure City Guide Bogotá, with members of the national and international press as well as VIP guests (international directors). Join us in the front row!
