If you’re on the hunt for fun activities for kids, be they indoors or outdoors, then read on. Whether it’s in a games room, a park, a farm or a restaurant with a recreation area, you’re bound to find an unforgettable experience for your children. Entertain your kids and spend some quality family time in one of the many places offered by Bogotá and its surrounding area. In the city, we recommend you pay a visit to Chiky Place, an entertaining and inspiring environment where the little ones will learn while they play. For a creative plan, let them paint ceramics at Magic Paint, while Monki’s Place is ideal for indoor fun in a variety of specialized areas.
There are also places where you adults can have some fun while your kids do too: the obvious one being Andrés Carne de Res, while Gaira restaurant puts on the Pombo Musical, a show paying homage to the characters from the children’s poems of Colombian writer Rafael Pombo. Another exciting stop for the little ones is Divercity, which uses role-playing to teach children about civic participation. If science is their thing, visit Maloka, an interactive science and technology park, while the Museo de los Niños and Planetarium are also good options.
Why not get out of the city, enjoy the fresh air of the surrounding areas and let your kids get in contact with nature and animals? A fun option for the whole family is a visit to a rural restaurant, with playgrounds and spaces to interact with animals. Try El Pórtico and La Granja in Tenjo which fuses the delicious flavors of the savannah’s traditional dishes with art and animals which roam the farm, or La Huertana in Subachoque. The Jaime Duque Park is home to several interactive attractions and a zoo, while Finkana is a fun theme park with delightful horse shows. Finally, you could also take a train ride across Bogotá’s savannah to take in the varied landscape.
